About Us

The cardiovascular division at Tzafon Medical Center (poria) is renowned as one of the leading cardiovascular programs in Israel, both clinically and academically.

The division serves as a referral center for all residents of the northern part of the country, providing a full range of cardiac services led by experienced cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons who are leaders in their field.

Our vision is to become one of Israel’s foremost cardiac systems, excelling in advanced medical care, research, and innovation.

Our board-certified cardiologists are well-trained in diagnosing and managing coronary artery disease, valvular disease, heart rhythm disorders, cardiomyopathies, advanced heart failure therapies, cardiac imaging, cardiovascular prevention, and cardiac rehabilitation.

Cardiology Department

Provides comprehensive care for heart diseases including diagnosis, advanced imaging, and management of heart conditions, embracing cutting-edge technologies and innovative treatments.

Department of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery

Notable for its use of innovative surgical techniques emphasizing on minimally invasive approaches to enhance precision and reduce patient recovery time.

Cardiac Catheterization Institute

Structural and Interventional Cardiology

Our state of the are cardiac intervention program performs advanced and complex coronary interventions, including high risk cases with the support of temporary mechanical devices (Impella and ECMO). Moreover, our prestige structural heart disease program performs advanced cardiac interventions (TAVR, Mitral Clips, PFO closures, etc.) by our experienced providers.

Pacing and Electrophysiology Program

Focuses on diagnosis and management of heart rhythm and conduction disorders. Using cutting-edge technologists, our experienced electrophysiologists perform all type of cardiac ablation, including high risk procedures and implantation of implantable loop recorders, pacemakers and defibrillators.

Echocardiogram and Cardiac Imaging Program

Provides state of the art imaging techniques, including echocardiogram, cardiac CT, MRI of the heart and more. In addition, performs physiologic tests, such as stress echocardiogram and cardiopulmonary stress test (CPET).

Advanced Heart Failure Program

Dedicated to the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic heart failure, providing both inpatient and outpatient advanced services. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive heart failure care, including medical therapy, durable and temporary LVAD (Left Ventricular Assist Devices), to improve our patients' quality of life and survival.

Cardiac Rehabilitation and Prevention Institute

Offers rehab programs designed to improve cardiovascular health and functional capacity following myocardial infarction, cardiac surgery or admission for heart failure.

Vascular Surgery Unit

Focuses on cutting edge diagnosis and management of vascular diseases, including percutaneous (catheterization) and surgical techniques. Vascular surgeons are constantly evolving their practices with new materials and methods that minimize invasive procedures and optimize patient outcomes.
